SAN CLEMENTE INTERNATIONAL G/K COACHING conten
Our young g/ks have been extremely fortunate to work with top international g/k coaches in town during 2010. First, we would like to congradulate Antonio Iriarte who worked with our g/ks for the first six months of the year as he has recently signed a professional contract with Puebla FC in Div 1A in Mexico. Antonio is extremely popular with the SC United parents and players due to his professional experience and approach to the game and we wish him well and hope to catch a few of his games next season on TV.
Eric Macmanus, former Northern Ireland g/k and A licence g/k coach, has also joined us during the summer. Eric has played over 400 games in the top flight of the English Division for Walsall, Derby County and Bradford FC and also been the first team g/k coach at Derby County and Bradford whilst currently scouting for Newcastle in the EPL.
Chelsea FC and England g/k Siobhan Chamberlain, has also been helping us this year before heading back to prepare for her final World Cup qualifier in Austria.
Our intention is to make the club as professional as possible and having great coaches and role models like Eric and Antonio provide our young players with top professional coaching whilst also giving them something posiitve to aspire to as international soccer is the highest accolade any player can reach in the game.
